I've got some Fun & Fall jewelry to add a little spice to your wardrobe. I'm all about wearing simple pieces that are comfy, and I can throw on and look chic...effortless! But, I always have to spice up the simple with some awesome accessories.  It's a must, and jewelry is a great way to do it!  You don't have to break the bank to find special pieces.  Purchase what speaks to you and makes you feel pretty. The Bowl...

I came across this hilarious video on Tracee Ellis Ross' new site.  As I was watching, I realized how I too have a healthy obsession with The Bowl!  I was just talking to my mom over the weekend about how I prefer eating out of a bowl than on a plate.  It's just more exciting to me, plus you eat less (well, that won't apply if you eat out of a huge bowl).  You see a plate is just so flat.  You can't grip or snuggle with a plate, it has to be a bowl.  I could really replace all my plates with bowls, but I kinda need them when I have folks over...right? Also, the husband loves a bowl too.  So, no argument there!  Just thought I'd share my amusement with you.

Here's some cuties I found...

Don't you just love a bowl?

Spring Blue. . .

& other stories

Hello Spring!  I haven't posted about the trends of Spring, but a huge one is adding the color Blue to your home or wardrobe.  Personally, I love the color.  It's vibrant, electric, and a fun color to add to your daily looks.  Just for you, I picked out some of my favorite Blue goodies for Spring.  Enjoy!

Tuesday Baby Update...

I'm 28 weeks (7 months) today!!!!   We have 2 months 3 weeks to go and she will be here.  God is so good...no, he is Awesome!!!  So, last week you know we were on our baby moon in N. Cali which was fantastic and so relaxing.   Hard to come back, but excited to get back to continue the preparation for our little girl.  The photo above shows how I  had to sleep while on the trip.  Lol!! I had to construct a replica of my Leachco Back/Belly pillow that I have at home using 5 pillows.  Pretty complex, but it worked!  The husband is a trooper, because he only has a sliver of bed to sleep on.  Sometimes I catch him all snuggled up against the pillows...so sweet!   Most importantly, I sleep comfortably and it helps ease the round ligament and back pain, but I still don't sleep through the night.  :(

Now that we are back from our trip, we have been discussing our long to-do list.  We did scratch a major one off our list and that is finding a Doula.  We found her and she's  awesome.  We start our birthing sessions with her this week and our hospital tour and sessions start next week.  We also booked our pregnancy photo shoot.  We are creeping down the list, but it will all get done.  Trying to get most of the physical things off the list in the next couple of weeks as my energy and me are slowing down.  Wish me luck!

Cravings... plain croissants, oranges, and berries are still in heavy heavy rotation.  I just might deliver an orange for a baby. lol!!!  Still have an egg every morning.  Yesterday, I sent the husband to get me a box of Honey Bunches of Oats (HBO) and a carton of Half and Half which I mixed with almond milk.  Never in my life have I wanted HBO cereal, but saw a commercial and they looked so yummy.  Had to have it!  The crunch and a bit of the sweet honey in each bite is just everything to me!!!   Another new addition is fresh lemonade.  If it's not fresh, forget about it!   I also think and dream about mashed potatoes.  Made some on Sunday with baked salmon and sautéed cabbage and kale...very cozy!

So, like I said before I'm still on the hunt for cute, chic, and bump friendly clothes.  On our trip, I bought this sweater from my fav store Anthropologie.  To my surprise, they have so many bump friendly options.  The price isn't  always right, but at least I can wear after the baby comes.  So, I found this cozy cardigan (below) while in Carmel.  Didn't buy it, but I'll probably get it this weekend.  It wraps around my bump so sweet, with room to grow.  I have a store credit that is burning a hole in my pocket, and I'm using it on this cardigan.

Pleidas Cardigan

That's all for this week...next week I should have another ultrasound, so I hope to have a cute photo to share.

More Tuesday Baby Updates next week!

Tuesday Baby Update...

selfie at the office-25 weeks

26 weeks today!!!  Next week will be the start of my last and final trimester.  Woohooo!!!  I cannot believe it!  Baby Girl Archie will be here before we know it!  Can't wait to see her face.  The husband dreamed about her for the second time this month, but she does not reveal her face.  She was covering her face except for her lips which looked like mine.  So interesting!  I guess we're both anxious to meet her.

I've been feeling good, but got a nagging headache over the weekend.  Not sleeping very well (mind is racing), still have the round ligament pain, and started having this cramp in my right foot.  I'm just taking it all and dealing with it!  All worth it and nothing I can't handle.  My Glucose test was negative, no Gestational Diabetes.  I do have a mild case of Anemia which I figured I would have since I was born with it.  So, now on one iron pill a day as well as my prenatals and calcium magnesium and fish oil before bed.

Cravings last week...croissants (plain), lots of oranges cut in quarter wedges with the skin on. Love biting into each wedge, the juice is so refreshing (eating some now as I type), blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries are in heavy rotation, french vanilla ice cream from Trader Joes, and pasta of any kind, cold or hot.  I do need to eat more protein.  Meat/poultry just doesn't do it for me anymore, but I have to get it in.

I purchased this cutie yesterday!  Had a $50 gift card to Anthroplogie burning a hole in my pocket, but wanted to use it on something that I really wanted.  This Tracey Reese tunic dress has more than enough room to accommodate the growing belly.  Can't wait to wear while on our Babymoon with leggings or my new skinny maternity jeans.

That's my update for this week!  Oh, Baby Girl Archie is kicking, punching, and rolling.  Marlin finally got to see my stomach jump.  He was so excited! Keep us in positive thought always!

Come back next week for more updates. . .

So, this bomber jacket trend that's moving right into Fall is growing on me a bit.  I've never been a bomber jacket girl, but that might change for the upcoming season. . . lots of cuties out there!   The Bomber jacket is easy to throw on, keep warm, and go.  Especially living in L.A.,  the bomber works year-round, you really don't need a heavy coat here.  Perfect Fall transition piece.  The fabulous Tamu McPherson, in the photo above paired her bomber with another trend for Fall...Plaid!  Talking about that over on Blah Blah Birds this week.  Tune in...

A Perfect Tee. . .

The Everlane Ryan Tee is a must have!  I ordered this tee to see how it fit and I loved it!  I went back and bought two more!  I've been looking for a plain tee to throw on and still look chic and comfy.  It's so soft and drapes well...it's just the right fit.  Comes in white, black, blue, and grey. Great tee for layering under a blazer, cardi, or sweater during the colder months and fab all on it's own when it's warmer paired with your fav jeans.  I'm loving it with a pair of simple cropped pants. a printed blazer or keep it classic with black, and of course my go-to ankle boots. Dress it up or down, this tee will be your favorite!

Curves & Prints

Curves and Prints are a lovely thing! Wearing prints camouflages problem areas and are really fun to wear.  In the photo, I'm wearing a printed jumpsuit by Anthropologie (no longer available), which I love and it's great for my curves.  It pulls up, no annoying zippers or buttons.   A lot of the time it's hard to find quality and cute pieces to fit just right, but I think I found some cuties that my curvy reader will love.  Here are some of my go-to online shops. . .
