Love It or Leave It: The Backpack

susie lau-NYFW Fall 2015

Backpacks are BACK!! Will you be carrying one?  I never thought I would say it, but I've got my eye on a few cuties.  The backpack would be a great Mama and June bag.  From the runway to the streets, you gotta get you a BackBag.  Ha!  I like the sound of that better!

Love It or Leave It: The Crop Top

The Crop Top has made a comeback!!  Back in the 80's, if you didn't rock a crop top you were not stylin'.  Ha!  Then in the 90's it reappeared in the form of a bustier or bra top worn under a blazer or a starter jacket... bad fashion!  Today, it's taken a chic turn to styles with long-sleeves, tanks, cardigans, sweatshirts, and blouses.  Paired with culottes, midi or maxi skirts, harem pants, or shorts.  Throw on a jean or leather jacket, even a blazer to complete the look.  I will not be wearing this trend, but I'm still Loving It!  To those who can rock it. . .

Love It or Leave It: High-Waist Shorts

It's Summer...4th of July is tomorrow and vacations are booked!  All you need is a pair of high-waist shorts.  The high-waist thing is on trend for the season in swimsuits, pencil skirts, and cropped pants, and of course vintage.  When I saw this photo of  Dyan of Passion Foodie and our beloved Blah Blah Birds rocking some high-waist shorts during a trip to Jamaica, I definitely had to show how cute her look was and help you find some cuties to wear this Summer too.  So, here's what I found...

Fall Love: Transitioning

I know I have said it before, but Fall is on it's way.  Those lovely Spring and Summer dresses that you love will soon have to be put away, but do they really have to? I say no...it's transition time! Not sure how? One word: Layering.  Oh...and a cute pair of tights, a cozy cardigan or blazer, ankle or tall boots, and pop in a lightweight scarf. With those things your set to transition in the most successful way!  :)

Here are some great transitional pieces...
