Resto Spotlight: Industriel Urban Farm

Industriel Urban Farm is such a little gem in DTLA (downtown los angeles).  My bestie chose this spot for her birthday dinner and it was surely a fun and tasty night of celebration.  The food is amazing, but the decor is even more lovely and comfy.  Downstairs is decorated with reclaimed wood tables, vintage crates, french cafe inspired bright red chairs, and tufted gold leather booths along the wall. Upstairs, you dine under a low beamed ceiling in comfy leather or fabric upholstered armchairs with a vibrant bar scene cranking out classic cocktails with an urban twist.  I can say I really enjoyed sitting upstairs.

I Heart Mendo...

I'm back!  Took a much needed vacay!  I had a relaxing and lovely time with the husband while we explored the quaint towns of Mendocino County.

Taking in a local play at the Mendocino Theatre Co, driving through the Redwoods with the sun-roof open, wine tasting at Toulouse winery while having lunch amidst the vineyards, canoeing up Big River, having amazing lump crap and roast beef sandwiches with ginger beer from Mendocino Market in the middle of the river while listening to the birds and the peaceful ripple of the water, resting before dinner in our quaint room in front of the fireplace while drinking a little Pinot Gris from Navarro winery compliments of the Blue Door Inn (our home this week), yummy organic pizza from Frankie's, exploring glass beach (didn't see the glass, but beautiful)  and the quaint town of Fort Bragg, and spending quiet moments with the hubby . . .amazing vacay!   We're back at home, but have great memories to last forever.

Sunday Walk...

We took a much needed walk along the Venice Canals, this past Sunday!  I really enjoy this part of L.A., it's very peaceful and calming to me.  Daydreaming of one day living here!  I would love to live in certain parts of Venice, Ca if we stay in L.A.  We always talk of moving up North, but if we find something special here in L.A, we just might stay!  I'm finding as I get older that L.A. has so much to offer.  In the meantime, we will explore...preferably on Sundays.
