I'm Looking For, Can You Find Me...

"I'm Looking For, Can You Find Me..."  is something new I will be doing from time to time to help my lovely readers live La Vie Chic (The Chic Life) and stay well fitted.  Frequent requests from family and friends to find certain items, help with personal style, plan quick trips, give hotel and restaurant suggestions, or gift suggestions has lead me to share this special talent with you.  Ha! I will even be your consultant extraordinaire to walk you through planning your wedding or special event.  Many people don't have the time or the desire to plan or do the research, but that is what I love to do.  Leave a comment on the blog or email me at jiggyloves@gmail.com, and I will point you in the right direction.

Last week a reader left a comment that they were looking for a white/off-white Summer handbag.  I contacted her and got more details as far as price range, style, etc.  This is what I found...

Thanksgiving Dinner?

Thanksgiving is next week and I'm sure many of you have made your plans and dinner menus. But...what are you going to wear? I like to always be festive, but this year I'm not feeling very inspired in the clothes department.  So, I was looking in a few mags and online at possible outfits.  Then I thought I would put together a few outfits for some inspiration.

First Look...

This is a classic outfit and comfy chic...love that! Paired with a flat, if you have to help wash those dishes.  These days I'm all about comfort, so this really works for me.

1. Classic Lapel Jacket by Eloquii
2. Cutaway Neckline Shirt by Eloquii
3. Foldover Clutch by Clare Vivier
4. Nora Flat by J.Crew

Second Look...

Want to spice it up? I saw this outfit in my J.Crew catalog and thought it was so lovely.  The turquoise and animal print blouse...too cute.  You can really put any color shoe with this, but the red pump or the sparkle flat really spices it up. The red satchel is a bit conservative, but it's a classic style so you can't go wrong with it.

1. No. 2 wool pencil skirt by J.Crew
2. Scoop neck blouse by J. Crew
3. Biennial Satchel by J.Crew
4. Mona Leather Pump by J.Crew
5. Glitterati Ballet Flat by J.Crew

Third Look...

This lovely maxi has great color and is easy breezy. Pair it with a great cardigan or maxi sweater.  I like this cardigan with a little sparkle in it to add a little holiday flair.  Put on some ankle boots and tights and be comfy for the rest of the night. In this outfit you can go back for seconds and thirds. lol!

1. Opalescent Cardigan by Hero & Leander
2. Suki Dress by Leifsdottir
3. Messenger bag by Clare Vivier
4. Pembrook Suede Booties by Steven

What look suits you best?
If none of these do it for you, I hope you got a little inspiration.

First Lady Style...

Happy Monday!

I don't think I've ever talked about First Lady Michelle Obama's style, but I am surely a big fan.  The thing I love most about her style is that she does a great job of mixing it up pairing high-end designers like Peter Som or Narciso Rodriguez with more commercial brands like J.Crew or Talbots.  Recently she wore an ASOS Africa beaded jacket while on her trip to South Africa. She has brought many emerging and independent designers to light. I also love how she keeps it current by accessorizing with her amazing jewelry and even wears some of her favs more than once. Gotta love that!  I really admire her style and think she always looks fabulous!

Here are some of my fav most recent looks...

Jean Paul Gaultier Pant Suit paired with Tory Burch Wrap Belt
Love the color!
Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 gown and amazing jewelry by Yewn and Tom Binn
I love the ring!

Beaded Jacket by ASOS Africa and Duro Olowu Scarf
Mrs. O is a scarf lady like me!

Yellow Trench by Rachel Roy

Vest and Pant by J.Crew, Tunic by ASOS Africa
Beaded Bracelets by Bhati Beads

Chevron Striped Print Dress by Talbots

Definitely a lady of style!

Weekend Fun: Stylelikeu Booksigning...

Over the weekend, I went to a book signing for the lovely book Stylelikeu at TENOVERSIX on Melrose.  Stylelikeu is a blog done by, Elisa Goodkind and Lily Mandelbaum, a mother and daughter team.  Love that! They travel the world snapping photos of fabulous and stylish people focusing on the art of dressing and the special things in people's closets.  It is a great blog, which has given me inspiration to step a bit out the box sometimes with my everyday dressing. I love my style, but I know there is more inside me to express as far as taking risks.  Alot of us struggle with that and what will people think about what I am wearing.  I know I am gulity of saying "WTH... does she have on". lol!  Stylelikeu will help you understand personal style and personality through photography.  I love it, and I think you will also!

Elisa and Lily, I truly enjoyed talking with you!
